STILLWATER, OK – Alejandra D. Barker, a 2021 graduate of Big Sandy High School in Dallardsville, recently graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from the university’s College of Arts & Sciences.
Alejandra, or “Ale,” got her degree on May 11. Prior to graduation, she was 1 of 20 Oklahoma college graduates accepted into a special internship program whereby she would attend classes at, and also work in a hospital’s laboratory.
Classes are at one of the five major Oklahoma hospitals. She chose Mercy Hospital in Ardmore and relocated there after graduation.
In May 2025, Ale will have earned, from OSU, a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology with an emphasis in laboratory sciences.
