County’s schools showcased by Allan Shivers Museum

WOODVILLE – The Allan Shivers Museum is hosting the Tyler County Schools for a Pop-Up Exhibit Sept. 24 – Oct. 12. 

Each school district in Tyler County has been invited to participate in providing a display of activities, events, and other special happenings going on in each local district. Warren, Colmesneil, Chester and Woodville will be featured this fall. 

Spurger had accepted the invitation, but due to unforeseen circumstances. had to postpone until next year. All of the county schools are doing great things to prepare students for a productive, successful future.  

There will be an Open House Oct. 1, 2024, from 4-6 p.m. at the Museum for the public to be able to view the exhibit after regular Museum hours of 10-3 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, and Saturday 10-2 p.m. The ASLM boasts a cadre of 35 Museum Tour Hosts at their monthly scheduled times when they are available to facilitate tours.

These supportive volunteers are a huge asset to the Museum goal of sharing Allan Shivers gift of the ASLM to Tyler County. You are always invited and welcome to visit your local public library and museum.
