It’s fair time again, and the weekend will be busy

Posted

When you read this issue the Trinity Community Fair Association will be celebrating their 75th anniversary at the Trinity Community Center on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

The Schedule has been announced on Facebook but the most important item that the parents and students want to know is how much the rides cost and when do they start.

Carnival Wrist Bands are $25 each person. The sessions start Thursday at 6 p.m. and end at 10 p.m. Friday times are 1 p.m.-5 p.m., and 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday the wrist bands are good from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. and the last session is from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m.

There used to be suicide rides on Wednesday, but I do not know if they still sponsor this event. However, at noon on Friday, the Trinity High School football team, cheerleaders and drill team will perform a pep rally at the Trinity Community Center. The public is invited to attend and show the Tigers’ support.

Then on Friday, the Little Miss September contest will take place at 6 p.m. at the Pavilion. This event is sponsored by River Pointe Rehabilitation Health Care Center.

The parade starts at 10 a.m. Saturday morning and starts from Pine Valley Street. The route proceeds to the Trinity Community Center South on Highway 19 South.

The Buyers Reception starts at 5:30 p.m. and the auction of animal projects begins at 7 p.m. Professional music starts at 8 p.m., and the inside exhibit hall closes at 9 p.m. to guests.

For more information, call Tally Jo Stout at (936) 645-6994 for music and entertainment times.

Across the street from the Trinity Community Center on Friday morning the fifth annual 42 Domino Tournament will start at 10 a.m. to celebrate the 75th Annual Fair at Joseph’s Place, sponsored by the Trinity Peninsula Chamber of Commerce. For Information call (936) 537-8171.
