Every year, the Groveton Ex-Students Association celebrates homecoming; every two years, though, it’s bigger and better, and this year was no exception.
With dances, pageants, reunions and parades, the 2024 Homecoming was two days of fun, with the coronation of Cassidy Mitchell as Homecoming Queen.
Groveton Ex-Students Hall of Fame inductees for the year are Taylor Hemness, Gina Safford Price, Jimmy Perry Price and Jean Parker-Rasbeary.
Parade winners are first, Freshman Class; second, Skills USA; and third, Food Service. Honorable Mention to Jerry Wilder with a Hot Dog entry.
Also, Jo Ann Beken Anderson retired from the association, and Tim Coker is taking over as president. New treasurer for the organization will be Laura Worsham Anderson, who is taking over for Coker.
