Born on Sept. 21, 1939, in Eagle Lake, to Raymond Earl Taylor and Elizabeth Lydia (Reuther) Taylor, Patricia passed away on Sept. 27, 2024, in Lufkin.

A devout member of her parish, Patricia served as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and a Lector, while also contributing to the floral committee for altar flowers. She was deeply dedicated to her family and cherished the moments she spent with them. Whether gardening, mowing, or simply enjoying the beauty of nature, Patricia found joy in working outdoors. Known for her warm personality, she never met a stranger, always eager to meet new people and make meaningful connections.

Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Earl Taylor; her mother, Elizabeth Lydia Taylor; and her son, Raymond Gilbert Burwick.

She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 66 years, Hampton Loyd Burwick, of Chita; her sons: Hampton Loyd Burwick Jr. of Dallas, Joe Pat Burwick of Fairport, N.Y., Paul Burwick of Redding, Calif., and Jason Burwick of Lufkin; her sister, Ray Beth Taylor Sills of Nursery; her granddaughter, Amanda Mosby of Chilton; and her great-grandsons, Riggin and Everett Mosby of Chilton; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at Groveton Funeral Home in Groveton, from 5-7 p.m., with a rosary service to follow at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Oct. 3, at 10 a.m. at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Trinity, officiated by Father Juan Carlos Rivera. Committal services will follow at 3 p.m. at Ryan Cemetery in Liberty County.

Pallbearers will be Hampton Burwick Jr., Edgar Burwick, Christopher Sills, Chad Sills, Russel Coaliron and Ryan Demming. 291
